School Council

The School Council provides pupils with a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the life and development of the school. Elected representatives from each class meet regularly to discuss ideas, share feedback from their peers and help make positive changes that benefit the whole school community. School Councillors act as leaders and role models, promoting our school values and ensuring that every pupil’s voice is heard and respected.

School Councillors are elected by their classmates to represent their views and ideas. They act as the voice of their class, sharing suggestions, concerns and feedback during School Council meetings. The School Council works with staff to help improve the school, organise events and fundraising activities, and discuss ways to make school life even better for everyone. By listening to their classmates and speaking on their behalf, School Councillors help ensure that every pupil has a voice and can contribute to positive changes within the school community.

Key Responsibilities of School Councillors:

  • Represent the views and ideas of their classmates.
  • Attend School Council meetings and contribute positively to discussions.
  • Share information and feedback between the School Council and their class.
  • Suggest and support improvements to school life.
  • Help organise and promote school events, charity fundraisers and community projects.
  • Encourage pupils to follow the school’s values and expectations.
  • Act as positive role models through their behaviour, attitude and leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and pupils to make the school an even better place to learn and grow.

Through their role, School Councillors develop valuable leadership, communication and teamwork skills while helping to shape the future of the school.
