We do ask that parents ensure that children arrive to school on time and ready for the day ahead.  Lateness has a direct impact on the quality of learning, not only for the individual child but also for the class as a whole.  The school doors are open from 8:40 each morning and children are expected to come straight into school once they arrive on the school site.

Lunchtimes & Playtimes

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2  have lunch between 11:45 am and 12:45 pm.

Years 3, 4, 5 7 6 have lunch between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.

Children are encouraged to have a cooked meal at lunchtimes.  Lingfield Primary School has its own kitchen which provides healthy midday meals. Facilities are also provided for children to bring healthy packed lunches.  We do ask that sweets and fizzy drinks are not part of children’s packed lunches.  Midday supervisors support the children at lunchtime both in the dining hall and in the playground.

Children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a free school lunch which is government funded.

At morning break children in Unit 1 (Reception, Y1 and Y2) are provided with a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable snack.

Each child is expected to bring a bottle of water to school each day which is kept in the classroom.

Children whose parents receive Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, or Child Tax Credit may be entitled to free school meals. Please contact the school office for the necessary forms and confidential advice.
