Areas of Safeguarding

At Lingfield Primary School, we prioritise the safety and welfare of our students through comprehensive safeguarding protocols. All staff and visitors are required to sign in upon arrival, receiving identification tags that must be worn throughout their time on the premises. It is our responsibility to ensure that every individual is properly vetted, informed, and trained. Our staff undergo training on child protection issues, equipping them with the knowledge of the appropriate procedures to follow. We promote a culture of vigilance among our staff to maintain a secure environment for our pupils. Comprehensive safeguarding documentation is provided to all staff and volunteers, which includes essential information pertaining to safeguarding practices, as well as references to the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025’ document.

Our recruitment processes adhere to stringent guidelines to guarantee a safe atmosphere for our students. We conduct ongoing checks and incorporate whistleblowing protocols in accordance with current policies. Additionally, we strive to foster safe and positive behaviours within our curriculum, securing an environment where children can thrive both academically and personally.

We actively encourage parental and carer collaboration, ensuring that families receive the support they need. Our premises are continually assessed to ensure they remain suitable and safe for educational activities. Furthermore, our curriculum is designed to provide enriching learning experiences, including lessons on personal safety, complemented by partnerships with local professionals such as community police officers and road safety teams. Finally, we collaborate with external entities to ensure that our children engage in safe activities outside of school, reinforcing their ability to navigate various environments safely and responsibly.
