At Lingfield Primary School we strive to give each child the confidence to explore and express their feelings and individuality through Art & Design. We know the importance of providing a broad and rich Art & Design curriculum and we aim for every child to achieve success in Art. Exposure to a variety of Art forms, Artists and Craftsmen inspire and engage our children to explore culture, emotion, values, attitudes and history. As well as supporting our children in generating their own ideas and giving them the confidence to create original pieces of Artwork. Progressive and discretely taught skills allow children to revisit and build on their knowledge as well as practise and develop their skills year after year. Through Art & Design, our children learn to make informed judgements, practical decisions and can begin to shape their environments. At Lingfield Primary School, we strive for children to see Art & Design as a source of pleasure and enjoyment.
